In its price range nice, nice, pretty good.

Super strong insulation. Corks feel good. Just remember to roll into the lane around the banana fork; They love being free. In addition, the cable feels solid and sounds good. The nose is barely recognized by my PS Audio Sprout, Pro-ject DC and Elac 2.0. I'm sure there are better cables out there, but I honestly don't know what's missing from my setup. These cables are fine.

Pros
  • High-quality workmanship
Cons
  • I don't really like it, everything is fine

Poorly fitting banana plugs

Thicker cable is a good complement to my speakers but banana plugs alone do not go well with my Cambridge Audio AXR100 amplifier, Sony bookshelf and floorstanding speakers. They pulled out almost effortlessly. Added 2 Sets FosPower Banana Plugs 2 Pairs / 4 Pcs 24K Gold Plated Screws Speaker Banana Plugs for Speaker Wire Wall Plate Home Theater Audio Video Much Better Tight Fit Plug.

Premium quality pure copper cables.

Received them much quicker than the estimated delivery date and time which is great. I took the package out of the mailbox and at first I thought WOW these cables are heavy so I thought they would be a great cable to connect my speakers to my subwoofers and they are. They seemed to smooth out my subs and make the sounds a little more defined than they were. So far, so good. Yes, these cables are worth it. I will buy more as well as RCA cables if needed. Thanks silverback

Quality speaker banana plugs

Issue: I originally bought one of the cables too short. Solution: Obtain the correct length of cable. On that note, I suggest the following: I have a set of large satellite speakers and a receiver that supports banana jacks. I made a homemade version of the cable, disappointed with the results. I decided to try these cables which are inexpensive. Immediately the tone was significantly sweetened. There are certain films that I use as a sound test. The end result is higher and lower frequencies…

Decent cable, probably cheaper option

I'm using this with an AD250 Micca Origin DAC/Amp and two Polk T50 floorstanding speakers. The cables are *very* heavy and clearly well made. However, $24 for 10 feet seems a bit steep, if not outrageously so. There are pretty similar options that are half the size that will probably work just fine too. The metal covers on banana plugs are a bit of a concern because they are a) loose and b) can contact nearby wiring/electronics and short out something. I would like a different implementation…

Sewell has a new supporter

As an avid audio enthusiast for decades, I have always been very skeptical of the exaggerated claims made by high quality cable manufacturers. I'm still skeptical of cables that cost hundreds of dollars, but then again, I've changed my mind about the importance of quality speaker cable. I recently replaced a pair of Lowes speaker wires with a Sewell Silverback 12 ga wire harness. I was very surprised at the positive impact the new cables had on the performance of my modest 2.1 system (FLAC…

Good cable, poor workmanship

Good quality 12 gauge cable plus good PVC jacket. The Silverback connectors, which I like for the two set screw design, really hold the cable. The problem is that with 12 gauge wire and a thick PVC jacket, the person assembling it often exposes the wire. That's not a big problem if the silver back covers are screwed on properly. I received the cable and the two "silver" screw caps were completely removed. This may be due to the design and delivery result and not necessarily the person who…
