[UPDATE March 11, 2016] *I would* get this in a heartbeat! Finally integrated Bluetooth music in your BMW! *mostly

Got Tune2Air and that's all I wanted! 0.95% of the time it worked perfectly. I was able to use the steering wheel controls and the head unit to select tracks, and it also displayed track information and the song library correctly. Sometimes it just didn't appear at all and only appeared as AUX in the audio menu. a bit annoying but mostly it worked so I didn't bother. Then I came across this bluetooth adapter and had to try it. I've used other bluetooth receivers in the past and they weren't as good. The sound quality was extremely choppy and was clearly only displayed as AUX on the console, so with the crappy sound I had to do without steering wheel and radio controls. No thank you. I'm happy to say that the sound quality of the Tune2Air is excellent and all the native controls in my 2013 BMW X1 just work! This is a Bluetooth feature that should be included by default. [Update: 03/04/16] Now I'm having the same issues as with the wired setup. Sometimes the IPOD does not show up in the audio menu but only as AUX. So the Bluetooth music still plays fine but the car control doesn't work. [Update: 03/07/16] Now mostly it always shows as IPOD but the auto steering doesn't work at all. I can access the library from the head unit and select a song, but as soon as I do that it says "Loading". and does not play the selected song. I can still use my phone to play any song. [Update: 3/11/16] Good news! Before you get in your car, launch a music app with a song playing or paused and everything will work as it should. At least the music app should be running in the background and everything should be fine. I've done this 3 times so far with good results. I will update again soon!

Why buy this for your Mini when there are MUCH cheaper alternatives that work BETTER?
