The device became completely unusable. I've tried every solution mentioned and listed here.

It has been 6 months since I purchased this item and I am updating my rating to one star for a number of reasons. Initially I had some connectivity issues getting out and returning to the car. . It reconnected to my iPhone maybe 7 times out of 10, and if not, within 2-5 seconds of unplugging and plugging the USB and aux cables back in. In the last 2 months the device has become completely unusable. I've tried all the solutions given here and listed on other websites with no success. I emailed…

[UPDATE March 11, 2016] *I would* get this in a heartbeat! Finally integrated Bluetooth music in your BMW! *mostly

Got Tune2Air and that's all I wanted! 0.95% of the time it worked perfectly. I was able to use the steering wheel controls and the head unit to select tracks, and it also displayed track information and the song library correctly. Sometimes it just didn't appear at all and only appeared as AUX in the audio menu. a bit annoying but mostly it worked so I didn't bother. Then I came across this bluetooth adapter and had to try it. Why would you buy this for your Mini when there are MUCH cheaper alternatives that work BETTER?

After carefully researching the options I really wanted some level of factory integration for Bluetooth. I was hoping my 2011 Mini would be new enough to only listen to music over Bluetooth. Unfortunately for some reason Mini didn't want you to be able to do this despite supporting Bluetooth calls for YEARS! Essential for any BMW owner without A2DP streaming but with USB/Aux option

Love this thing. I have a 2007 E92 335i. All 335 models come with Logic 7 audio and my variant comes with USB/aux-in, iDrive navigation and Bluetooth. Unfortunately, BMW was very late with A2DP game streaming, so in-car Bluetooth is only for phone calls. This device is basically a WMA1000 with a Y-cable already built in. I just bought this unit and it didn't come with a Y cable so this was the best choice as a WMA1000 + Y cable would cost more than this unit. I use this with my iPhone 6 Plus…
