You will need a hacksaw or other tool to make clean cuts in aluminum a metal file to smooth out the sharp edges to remove the cutting and sharp knife for cutting the seal. If the seal is tight against the door sill, silicone spray will help the door open and close. Be careful when cutting and handling as it is just painted aluminum and if you scratch it the light aluminum will show through the dark colour. The hacksaw is crucial as you will need to cut it to fit the door and also cut the front to clear the jambs on each side. The miter box helps, but probably not critical. To get a good seal, the bottom and back need to run the full width of the door, but the front will rub against the jamb, so you'll have to trim the face on each side to get the jambs out. I filed all the cuts with a metal file just to make them less sharp, especially the bottom front corners, in the first photo you can see I rounded them so nobody gets cut when hit. The seal on mine was a lot thicker than the old one but with a bunch of silicone spray on the seal I was able to open and close it with some pressure and over time it should work on its own to fit.
