Good size but quite heavy. The fabric can be cotton as described, but if it is cotton it will not be soft or comfortable. It's pretty stiff and very uncomfortable. The description says "washable", the instructions that came with it say it can be washed but not tumble dried. Possible dry cleaning. I can't remember how much I paid, but no matter what the cost, I wouldn't do it again. I'm not usually hard to please, but this leaves a lot to be desired. I have three other duvets or alternate duvets and have never come across anything like this. UPDATE ON THE ORIGINAL REVIEW I have washed the duvet, used fabric softener and tumble dried. This helped a lot with the stiffness of the fabric. Washed and dried well.
