Review on PUR PFM800HX: Cutting-Edge Horizontal Bluetooth MineralClear for Effective Filtering by Michael Straughter

This filter replaces one we have had for several years. The firmware had to be updated upon installation, which can be problematic depending on your phone or tablet, but isn't fatal. My LG phone has been trying unsuccessfully to update the firmware for about an hour, resulting in the filter being "jammed". (No light, no app info, etc) but I found it connected for a few seconds when switching to filtered water, so I downloaded the app to another device and it immediately connected and the firmware updated successfully. So save and start. Why am I only giving 4 out of 5 stars? Well, it's the product itself, not the people selling it. A quick shutdown would help, matte chrome as an option would help, the ability to skip setting up the dash button and not having to remind you in the app EVERY time you access it would help. I appreciate the convenience of having a faucet that orders its own replacement filters when it runs low, but I have a decent supply of parts thanks to a deal my wife got where she works when we got the last filter bought.
