As soon as I took it out of the box, I realized that this is more than just a pretty cable. It felt better and heavier than my other cables. And it was 20% heavier than my other braided cables of the same size (I weighed and then calculated grams per cm to be equivalent. The Revain cable weighed 28.48g for a length of 97.15cm and the other mine braided cable weighed 23.40g a caliper to measure thickness, the Revain cable was 3.6mm wide while the other cable was 3.35mm wide, a 7% difference does not appear to be significant but the manufacturers reduce the cost of small parts and it really makes a difference Cables get less twisted and tangled, more likely to stay straight and you use them, and the heavier weight also probably indicates heavier gauge wire so it shouldn't be as prone to breakage A really good carrying case, which you just don't see with many 3" cables. It also comes with a velcro strap so you can keep it wrapped up. The case is good for when I'm traveling and don't want the cables to get tangled. A Velcro cable tie is a short-pile Velcro that collects less lint. All I can say is that it charges the iPhone - as expected. I really think that the quality that went into making this cable will show itself over time if I ditch my other cables and keep this one.
