I bought this thermal compound to use on some graphics cards and a water cooling kit. At first everything worked fine, the temperature went from 70-80°C under load with a standard cooler to 50-60°C with water cooling (in summer), but over time the temperature slowly crept up. After all, it was the middle of winter and even in a cold room, the temperature on the graphics card never dropped below 75°C. Took everything apart to troubleshoot and found that the thermal paste was completely dry. The compound was powdery and some of it fell into pieces. I cleaned it, painted it with a different composition and put everything back together. That was last January, and almost a year later, the GPU temperature is still stable at 50-60C, leading me to believe that the Arctic Silver Alumina compound is to blame. I have a full tube left, but it's probably better to throw it in the trash.
