I ordered a new belt because I was having trouble moving the mower forward or backward. It started moving when I pressed down and then nothing so I had to play with the throttle to get it moving. It worked like this in both directions, forwards and backwards. The longer I left the lawn mower running, the worse it got. I knew the problem had to be one of three: a slipping drive belt, a weak belt tensioner spring, or the transmission itself. Since there were no signs of a leak in the transmission, I decided to try a new belt first. The drive belt looked good, as far as I could see there were no tears or pieces. But the strap was easy to change. The new belt (P/N: 532130969) came in OEM packaging and arrived within two days of ordering. I compared the original belt to the new belt and didn't notice much of a difference, other than that the surface of the original belt was smoother and more polished where it met the various pulleys. At the time I wasn't sure if a new belt would fix the problem, but I decided to replace it anyway. To make belt changes easier and safer, I drained the fuel from the tank and then laid the tractor left side on it. Next, I followed the instructions in the owner's manual. The whole process took about 30 minutes. Once the mower was back on all four wheels, I put some gas in it, started it, and drove it around the yard. The belt solved the problem. The mower drives like the first day. I'm glad I bought this belt for my Husqvarna YTH24K48 lawn mower. It came as advertised.
