The 1 1/2 " receiver model cannot use extensions, but with an adapter it can be easily installed on a 2 " receiver.
The ball bearing mount works the same as the 2" adapter. The 1 1/2" rack is great if you never need to expand to carry more than two bikes. This rack is fast , light and safe.I trust this system for users who are not mechanically inclined.And those who appreciate the simplicity and quality of design and assembly.
