Review on 🎨 Cyanotype Sensitizer Set - Jacquard by Morgan Gilmore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works perfectly!

I was lucky with this material. In theory, it shouldn't vary from brand to brand (unless advertised) as it's a simple chemical composition. When emphasizing paper, pay attention to what type you are using. Most commercially available papers are buffered and contain various additives (optical brighteners, etc.). These properties are disadvantageous for the chemical process of cyanotyping. If you want high-quality printouts, buy paper without buffers or additives. DO NOT USE PAPER. You will only waste it. You can buy specialty paper sold as "for use with historical photo processing" (Cyanotype/Platinum, etc.). Check out B&H, Freestyle Photo, etc. If you want to learn more about cyanotypes, EVERYTHING you need to know is in Mike Ware's free book, Cyanomicon. Google it and a free PDF book will be the first result.

Pros
  • Kit includes pre-measured chemicals and instructions.
Cons
  • Not fashionable
