I ordered them not knowing what to expect. Just because it says it can hold 30 pounds. doesn't always mean it's possible. In this case, however, they can easily carry their weight and maybe more. The magnets are built into a thick, black-coated 14-gauge steel channel. The overall length of each is just over 18 inches, giving you 16 inches of magnetic storage. They are individually bubble wrapped for protection and come with mounting screws. My only minor disappointment is that the red labels covering the magnets are not placed well. On one of my holders, I see magnets under the tag, and the tag slides up the top of an electronically plated steel frame. But these will hold wrenches in the garage, I don't care too much about the looks.
