Review on πŸš— Universal Car Blind Spot Mirrors by WildAuto - Wide Angle Adjustable Auxiliary Mirror for Enhanced Visibility by Christopher Penn

Can be fitted to the underside of the Ram 1500 mirrors without towing

I wanted to mount these blind spot mirrors [BS] to the underside of the side mirrors on my Ram 1500 Longhorn as I thought the touch washer would be more likely I would rip them off from above, plus I didn't want to lose sight of the mirrors. Unfortunately the turn signal/light on the underside of the side mirror protrudes far enough into the outer half to prevent mounting there and when mounting on the inner half of the side mirror the BS mirror touched the door when the side mirror was folded down . I pulled the BS mirror out of its housing, loosened the two screws holding the housing to the bracket and flexed the bracket in a vise, but once it was flexed enough to clear the door the BS mirror could not be tilted up. enough to be useful. Few options left, I straightened the bracket, drilled new holes in the bracket [for the BS mirror housing] as close to the edge as possible and reinstalled the BS mirror. With a slight crease in the bracket and holes reversed, the BS mirror protrudes about 1/4 inch out of the door when folded. I haven't driven many miles with it yet, but it seems to be working. pretty good, adjustable but I pushed it as far as I could, I didn't install the BS mirror on the passenger side as it's not visible at the bottom of the side mirror, it seemed a bit small for such a distance. , and the right wing mirror definitely covers the blind spot on that side well. Pros: If you install on the side mirrors, the installation should be very easy. A pretty good view of the blind zone. Matches the exterior well with no issues and ran 70+mph in a headwind. Cons: Obviously the bottom bracket is rigid and requires tools. Out of the box both BS [steel] mirror mounts had chipped paint. I've seen reviews complaining for rust but instead of returning them I removed both, sanded and painted each with several coats of rustoleum. It was a good decision.
