The temperature is plentiful and it would be even better if it remained visible a little longer. I know it beeps when the temperature is reached because my daughter can hear it, but I can't hear it, so it becomes extremely difficult for me to take my own temperature. For me it would be better if the beep was louder or the temp screen flashed when the temp was reached. So I have to read the number backwards in the mirror as I don't hear the beep and therefore never know when to look at the screen other than the mirror. It seems to be as accurate as our old undertongue thermometer.
