The temperature is plentiful and it would be even better if it remained visible a little longer. I know it beeps when the temperature is reached because my daughter can hear it, but I can't hear it, so it becomes extremely difficult for me to take my own temperature. I gave this product 5 stars for its ease of use and accuracy. I tested it with an oral digital and an oral glass thermometer and found that they are all very close. I needed something quick and easy to use and I found it in this product. I like the fact that I can turn the sound off, although I recommend leaving it on so you know when to release the trigger. I have the ones you put in your ear and they were light compared to the non-digital ones you put in your mouth for 2 minutes but I still had issues and they weren't always accurate.
