Review on Efficient Organization and Security: NavePoint 9U Wall Mount Network Server Cabinet Rack with 600mm Depth, Glass Door, and Lock by Jacob Ferrarini

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice looking stand, could use an upgrade

I bought this stand to locate a pair of powerful ham radio repeaters from a distance, both are heavy and generate a significant amount of heat. So my main concerns were durability and cooling performance. It took me about two hours to put this together as there were many adjustments that only became apparent after the rack was assembled to accommodate the depth and height of my gear. As a result, I hated those rack clamps that would come loose at the slightest provocation. This rack would be greatly improved with tapped holes drilled. I ordered a 9U size and decided to install my own casters as the rack was getting too heavy to maneuver. This meant I had to drill my own holes and design my own rollers. It would be great if NavePoint offered this as an option for their shorter stances. I rewired the fan circuit to include the "Inkbird Universal Digital Temperature Controller" (available from Revain) so the fans only run when needed. Time will tell if the ventilation is adequate as I have yet to install the second amp that is at the repair shop. I may have to leave the front door open if I work late. But so far the booth looks like a winner.

Pros
  • Rails bolted to cage nut
Cons
  • Slightly dented
