I usually wear between a 28 and 30 depending on the manufacturer, stretch level etc so I decided to play it safe and got 5x the size I think they said 30/32 . They fit great. Slightly looser in the lower leg, but my legs are short and I think that part of the leg is likely to sit higher on someone with average leg length. (I buy my pants a small size that's 29 inches in the seam and just touches the floor when I'm barefoot, so I could probably use 28 inches, but they don't.) They have panties in them, so if you want to wear it you're like pants like in an amusement park or something (like i plan to). No need to worry about panties, and if you want to ride the water, just dry off in the sun. I received the first pair and knew it would fit, I ordered 2 more. Hope that helps!
