Review on πŸ–οΈ L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream - 5.2 Ounce Classic Formula (No Color) for Soft and Nourished Hands by Debbie Black

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Attention allergens!

I love this hand cream and have been using it for about 5 years. As many others have said, it moisturizes my hands very well with very little cream. I have very dry skin, it gets worse in winter. My fingertips crackle. My daughter has a similar problem and I decided to buy her a tube. She used it after we left and he loved it. Then she read the box. She has a life-threatening nut allergy and contacted me immediately. She sent me a circled box of sweet almond extract. When I left RN I was stunned that a company like L'Occitaine could NOT put an allergen warning label on this cream. I have looked at several scientific journals on the subject and yes, a person who is allergic to tree nuts SHOULD NOT use any product that contains almond extract in any form, especially where lacerations to the skin may result in direct contact with blood. Local absorption is also a bad idea. Our Food and Drug Administration should know better without corporate responsibility. I will never trust any other beauty product without first checking ALL the ingredients.
