Review on Z Z-EDGE 32" Ultra Slim 4K IPS Monitor with FreeSync, Flicker Free, HDMI, Built-in Speakers by Marc Lucas

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Amazing picture quality, almost 5 stars but there are a few small issues mentioned in my review.

It works great although it took me a little time to get it working with my system. Here are some points I want to highlight and I think they may help other users trying to get it working. My laptop I believe is Dell about 3 years old. The monitor does not have its own drivers. On my system, I'm using the standard Intel HD Graphics 5500 driver, which supports 4K and works fine. After some experimentation, I decided to work in full 4K mode, as this allows me to place different applications in different areas of the screen. For me personally it is more efficient. I had some issues with the speakers on the monitor initially wanting to take control of the audio from the headphones. I was able to fix this using the Windows Sound Controls, but I was annoyed that it defaulted back to my original settings the first time I connected. I've been having issues for a while that caused my system to slow down PATH so much that I couldn't type or use my mouse due to the lag. I'm not sure what caused it, but it seems to be working better now. I used to not have such problems before connecting the monitor. I had to restart my computer to fix it. I use it as an extended monitor that allows me to share what I'm using between the laptop and the monitor. Note that in 4K mode the only way to bring the mouse pointer back to the laptop is to move the mouse pointer to the top left quarter of the monitor. Otherwise it will hang and not go to the laptop. I've learned to live with it. - I use an HDMI cable to connect it, but it also has DisplayPort and USB as options. - The monitor itself when running in 4K is amazing and extraordinary. 4K video is crystal clear. I wish there was a remote control. Instead, it has control buttons in the bottom right corner that I find tedious to use. Navigating between the menus isn't fun when you're just using the buttons on the monitor. It includes an HDMI 2.0 cable and a handy USB-AC cable. Would have been a 5 star monitor if it weren't for a few minor issues. what I noted earlier.
