Review on 🚲 Enhancing Your Cycling Experience: Blackburn Mountain Aluminum Bottle Cage by Elder Unogu

I bought a Blackburn mountain bike bottle cage (red) to go with the exact same frame that I already have on my entry-level Giant Revel 1. Flat MTB with large frame. When I first bought the bike it had two of these cages (red). The mate who was kind enough to take me to collect my bike commented that he needed a cage. I haven't ridden in 19 years and have forgotten how important two bottles can be on hot days/moderate to long rides. So I gave him one of my cages. Anyway it was the least I could give, he took me and I had two cages. Having rediscovered the need for two bottles, as a person who believes in balance in a somewhat annoying way, and having experienced the quality of the original Blackburn cage, I searched Revain for the same replacement for the lost cage twin to find. Here's what I've experienced so far. Pros: This is a durable aluminum cage that fits all plastic sports bottles from 20 to 24 ounces. I gave it up. I can't speak for sizes other than these as I haven't tried them. When you look at the cage you want some flexibility; but not so tight that it doesn't hold the bottle in place (and not so tight that you can't pull it out with one hand on a trip). This one was perfect so I wanted the same one. Blackburn uses a durable alloy that meets the aforementioned requirements. The cage has strong spot welds, a grooved top (which really helps keep bottles in place on the road or rough trails), and a nice finish (that won't scratch). To top it off, this quality is backed by a lifetime guarantee. Cons: The only very trivial issue I have (not worth detracting from the stars as it wasn't listed as included anyway) is that Blackburn doesn't include any soldered screws or mounting brackets/hardware. However, at less than $5 at the time of purchase, this is by no means a big deal, especially since most bikes come pre-installed with soldered bolts. Keep this in mind if you don't have screws and need hardware. General Comments: Reading other reviews, a question was asked here but never answered (referring specifically to the red cage I bought) - ie. red I'm really red. I doubt the person is still interested considering the question was asked 4 years ago. However, I will still state my thoughts. While not pink (as asked in the question), the color is more of a metallic shiny red than candy apple, fire engine, or plain red (in case you're interested). I hope the photos I provide will help people see the color and quality of this cage. Buy recommendation?: Now I recommend buying this cage. I really don't need to offer anything further, except of course given the points already offered. But I'll add if you're looking for a cage and are hesitating... do yourself a favor and get one of these Blackburns. You won't regret it as it will last the life of your bike (and even if it doesn't, the warranty). In case you are wondering, I paid the price listed by Revain for this product.
