Impeccable Performance - Bluetooth Car Kits

Installed in 2005 Factory Ford Five Hundred Stereo (Six Speaker System) with 'MP3' logo on front. Make sure your stereo has this logo, there were several versions in 2005, some compatible some not. Installation was very easy, 2 plug and go connectors, no splicing or extra power/ground jumpers. We routed the mic cable around and up, following the antenna cable's route behind the glove box (passenger's side) until we could protrude through the dash and it was just long enough to return to the driver's side for a good mic position between the mirror and visor. I find this easier than trying to route the mic behind the pedals and driver's side steering column, but often the included mic cable isn't long enough to go the easier route. The auxiliary cable input and Bluetooth work great, with equally good quality, and Bluetooth offers song and artist info, incoming caller ID, and supports Google's Android voice assistant. Couldn't be more excited if I had this option on about 2 other cars, I ended up spending a lot more on a completely new head unit and additional installation hours. I would also like to point out that we decided not to expand the USB port for charging, since modern phones can draw 2.4 amps and there is no additional USB functionality compared to Bluetooth, it seemed unnecessary, hot plugging and risking extra heat and power draw. tries to provide loading through this small block. So we'll be using the standard cigarette lighter to charge the phone (this car already has three ports), and then Bluetooth, probably all the time. Good product.
