Review on Hanchen by John Milligan

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Hanchen was a disappointing experience.

As soon as I received my order, my joy over Hanchen's online business immediately changed to disappointment. The things I got were of terrible quality, and some of them were even broken. Although their wide variety of art and craft items appears amazing, in practice it is intimidating and perplexing. Finding what I needed was difficult due to the unfriendly website layout. It was particularly disappointing to find the sewing section. The materials have poor quality and a small selection of fabrics. The parts and accessories for coffee and espresso machines were pricey and not worth the money. When I called customer support about my broken things, they were useless and the shipping was sluggish. I was informed that I would be responsible for the cost of return shipping, even though this was not specified on the website. I was generally unsatisfied with Hanchen, and I won't be doing any more purchasing there. My bad experience was influenced by the items' subpar quality, the confusing website design, and the unhelpful customer service.

Pros
  • Prices that are fair for the things they offer.
Cons
  • Sewing store with a small assortment of fabric.
