Buttons and Indicators - OH MY

Where do I start? With 8 kids, battery theft is a constant problem and remote controls should by nature be within the reach of almost everyone. Having 6 remotes on the table creates an irresistible temptation for dozing AA members. This remote control is the solution. Once programmed (plan for a rainy day for the first stage) it will work with our A/V system, TV, network BluRay, CATV, DVR, DVD and PS3 with plenty of room for expansion and also has its own charger/battery , that will not work in any toys. The wow factor is there, and best of all, he actually does it all, even though he has to learn. I'd rather NOT have just one online profile to set up, but our situation hit a dead end and Harmony saved us. I don't normally have a hard time installing stuff like this - in fact I'm a freelancer, connecting and working with friends and family on 'things', but this install requires some serious thought. It turns out that your system is probably harder to level than you first thought, but after a few "oops" adjustments, it handles it just fine. Every other time I've used the help function, but I've used this function many times. My wife is technophobic (had to buy her an iMac despite having about a dozen computers around the house) and if that doesn't work I face the very real possibility that it will be force inserted or thrown into our computer screen. new 3D TV. It took a few hours but she's really enjoying it! Victory is my online profile (-1) Logitech hardware database (+1) No stupid codes to look up and then lose (IF they work at all) (+1) Blue glowing stuff (+1) Just ONE remote to look at on the sofa (+1) A touchscreen TV for kids (+1) Turns off devices not in use (+1) Ability to label buttons (aka anti-counterfeiting) (+1) Ability to hide adjustment buttons deep in On-screen menu or switch off covert (+1) Built-in help/self-correction (+1) Anti-theft battery with its own charger (+10) Simple. Ours was an unused +/- $70 "used" - no problem at all. Lots of Pros, Just 1 - You saved on hiring a full-time cop so it paid for itself on day one.
