Worked for about a month before I started hearing popping noises. I thought it was just the temperature sensor turning on and off, but it got louder over time and I decided to check it out. As a result, I found 4 chips of 1 cm each in the glass and noticed that it fogged up inside. As far as I know I haven't had enough weeks for this heater to cost me my entire aquarium. I'm looking for better options, preferably without glass. A few notes on my setup: 65g cichlid tank, heavily planted but nothing near the heater. There are bubble streaks nearby, but not so close that there could be temperature difference or cracking. Since the cracks ran the full length of the device, I believe this is a manufacturing defect.
