Review on πŸ“» Sangean WR-2 AM/Wooden Receiver in Walnut Finish by Stephanie Shatnawi

I solve this problem by unplugging it for a few seconds - then it's ok but it's weird

This is a solid radio (almost the size of a small shoe box) that we have for our kitchen bought. It is used every day. The sound quality is exquisite and exceptional compared to any other radio we've had. My only complaint is that sometimes I can't turn it on - the buttons seem to get stuck. I solve it by turning it off for a few seconds - then it's ok, but it's weird. I had no problems with the programs that other people wrote about - setting the time and channels was relatively easy, but I had to read the instructions. UPDATE: April 2016 - I have had this radio since December 2015. Disappointed with the mechanical quality. The sound is great - the design is great, but it burns me that at least a few times a week when I turn up the volume the radio functions completely freeze (rather than effortlessly defrost). Or I change channels and it stops working. Disabling it doesn't always solve the problem. It's especially annoying when I'm listening to an interview, for example, and I want to turn it up, but HE TURNS OFF instead. I'm angry that I spent so much money on a badly working radio. I read the negative reviews and thought maybe I was an exception. Well, it clearly isn't. I am very dissatisfied with it.
