I have no complaints at all concerning this unit's design, construction or operation. But my 8 y.o. Lilac lynxpoint Siamese cat is accustomed to drinking from our trough-design lavatory faucet or directly out of the palm of my hand under the faucet.He must be spoiled because he will drink from this fountain only if I place it in the lavatory bowl. Put it on the floor and he turns up his nose at it.Today the pump quit. I disassembled it and found a strand of hair had wrapped itself around the impeller. Removed it and thoroughly rinsed the pump under running water, reassembled it and it runs as before. NOTE: Periodically check the impeller when changing filters.
