An excellent lens, if not perfect. Open it wide and you'll notice the performance hits around the edges, which are all but gone by 5.6. I give this lens 5 stars simply for its performance considering how wide it works. If you were shooting with a 2.8 focal length 35mm lens that wide, you would almost certainly have the same problems. If you want to crank it up, you get amazing performance all the way down to f16, and it's extremely sharp all the way down to f4 in the center. I have not encountered any chromatic aberration or ghosting issues with this lens. I'd really give it a 4.5 because of the noticeable impact on sharpness wide open, but considering it's a medium format camera it works really great.
