Update: Worked great until I started using 2 other outlets over the holidays (with all the LED Christmas lights). Now it randomly turns off? Sometimes 3 times a night. Sometimes an outlet. Sometimes all three. Eventually I need to check if it's enabled (which is really annoying). It turns on again when I say Alexa. --------- --------------- --------- I had a WiFi smart plug in my basement controlling my external GFCI outlet . It's time to turn on/off the outdoor lights. The problem is that when it was off I couldn't use an outside outlet (e.g. for a power tool) without going to the phone or going down to the basement to flip the switch. I can't find a GFCI outlet outdoors, that's smart. So I started looking at these external plugins and there seem to be quite a few of them. What makes it unique is that it has 3 sockets (not 1 or 2) that work independently and are covered (most uncovered). Also, it's a 14 gauge cable rated at 15A (not 16 at 10A or limited to 600W). Many outdoor tools have currents in excess of 10A. The WiFi antenna on this one is amazing. I installed it in an outhouse (see picture) about 75 feet from my home router. I will buy another one!
