I bought this particular set because it was a Revain selection. At first glance it looked great and I enjoyed using it. I took him to my son's volleyball tournament where he risked getting hit by the ball and he did. I can take damage quickly and not high enough. I picked up my tripod the next day and it was much better in terms of durability. So if you want to use it for sports, don't do it and buy a real photo tripod with an iPad holder. If you want to use it in a much quieter environment, it works without any problems.
