As other reviewers have said, the hardware sucks, and to that I might add that the entire easel is very cheaply constructed. The wing nuts that are supposed to hold the drawing/artboard at the working angle are not strong enough to hold the angle. They are too small, sharp for the fingers and too small. I had to add lock washers and flat washers and they still don't hold the work surface at every angle. I also had to cut out a piece of board to keep the countertop from coming out at the back like a canopy. The wooden supports on the back of the worktop are glued far off-center (see photo). The mount for the sliding canvas holder is so far to the right of the base that it's almost unusable, and the one in the middle is set in at an odd angle. Luckily I can fix this shoddy workmanship quickly otherwise I would be sending it back.
