Lower rod defective in ceiling fans and accessories
The lower rod sent in does not fit at all and you cannot use the universal rod. It was not "threaded" so my family friend, who is an electrician, had to drill through a separate bolt to create a secure fit before successfully attaching it. It works now, but it's stupid to send an important part that is faulty.
