I have a negative attitude towards trends on the verge of insanity, such as Toyota, iPhone, MacBooks, etc. This is my first apple and I came to him out of hopelessness, resisted for a very long time. For 10 years there were 6 laptops on Windows, mostly top models, all of them had the same problems: large weight and size, no touchpads, excessive thought out of the blue, battery life for a maximum of 4 hours. I gave up and bought a poppy :) This was the last hope to solve my problems, namely: - lightweight and compact laptop to fit in the glove compartment of a car - long battery life, so as not to frantically look for sockets somewhere in a cafe or at a meeting - quick exit from sleep mode to get it, open it and it's ready to go - Adequate touchpad to make it convenient to use without a mouse - enough power to pull 20 tabs in two browsers, several office documents, mail, 3-4 instant messengers, a scheduler and 2-3 PhpShtorm projects On the very first day of use, I realized that I had been looking for it for 10 years :) The touchpad is a miracle, I don’t understand what prevents other manufacturers from doing the same. The mouse does not make any sense, the touchpad is a hundred times more convenient. The battery holds 8 hours without any savings. No need to carry a charger with you throughout the day. I still do not know if there is a cooler there, I have never heard it. At the same time, nothing is stupid and does not reflect. It lies in sleep mode for a week, opened the lid, touched Touch ID - everything is ready, work! The transition from windows did not cause any problems, basically all software manufacturers have versions for mac os, or there are better and more convenient alternatives than on Windows. Of course, I had to google all sorts of obvious things for a couple of days, such as how to restart the poppy and switch the layout to 2022, but these are trifles :) In general, you need to remember a few hot keys and gestures - this is the whole complexity of switching from Windows. Worth the money, gets the job done. Video editing and games are not for him. Office work, programming, surfing and communication is a great option.
