Review on πŸ“Ί NAVISKAUTO 12-inch Dual Screen Portable DVD Player for Car with Rechargeable Battery, Last Memory, USB/SD Card Playback Support by Josue Porter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good picture quality and easy to use for kids

We were preparing for a long car ride so we needed something to keep our twins occupied. We tried these. The straps were a bit tricky to figure out as we had to figure out how to attach them to the headrest. The design of the straps isn't intuitive, so we took it as a puzzle and were able to figure it out in about 5 minutes. They really need more detailed instructions on how to apply. The power plug that plugs into the car socket wasn't attached to the back of the main player, so we had to use tape to secure it. Strange as this is specific to this player. Those are the only complaints though, and let's face it - they're minor. The power cord is a nice length, we were able to pull it over the backs of both chairs, along the coat hooks and handles, and through the car to an outlet, saving space. (Only one socket at the back of the Grand Caravan on the left sliding door frame - we chose to put the player's screen on the right so the passenger can manipulate it if necessary.) The cable connecting one car to the other is like connected a phone cord so it stays very secure. We wrapped an extra jumper cable around one of the headrests a couple of times to keep it off the ground and reduce the risk of tripping, as kids usually exit on one side of the car or the other. Sound quality is excellent, loud and clear, we were grateful for the headphone plugs - once plugged in, the back seat was delightfully quiet. And the pockets in the car seat were the perfect place for headphones during pit stops. The picture quality is really great too. It doesn't play Blue Ray, but to be honest we don't buy Blue Ray very often. With a good DVD player, the difference in picture quality is barely perceptible - for us it's not crucial. far away but when my husband pushed the seat back it didn't feel like it was right in front of their faces. Both kids loved the players and asked when we could do another trip so they could use them again. (They even asked if we could bring the players inside to check them out - they liked them better than the 65-inch screen on the wall.) The remote control is easy to use and very handy, because when I think about it move forward, the kids didn't have to worry about getting to the controls or unbuckling the seat belt to manipulate the controls. (They also love to fast-forward and rewind their favorite scenes, and the remote came in really handy for that.) The discs were easy to change, so I was able to change them from the front seat with little fuss. I like the fact that only one player has a DVD function, meaning they can watch together or just one person can watch alone. You don't have to worry about individual videos, switching multiple discs, or arguing about who has which disc. They agreed on what to watch and even took turns holding the remote control. There is an on/off switch for each player, which I really liked because if one was watching and the other didn't want to, the one who wasn't watching didn't have it on and blinked in his face when he tried to read or play on your tablet. The only downside is that the person who wanted to watch had to sit in front of the player. Cannot play DVD from player and turn off screen. We've never had anything like this in the past and I was skeptical that we would find any of these systems that were user friendly. But honestly, apart from helping you figure out how to attach them to the back of your headrest, this system is easy to use and delivers great picture quality. For the price you can't beat it. I definitely recommend it for all road trips. We had a surprisingly smooth ride, 4 hours one way.
