Review on 3M 39061 Perfect Machine Polish by Tim Wheeler

Giving one of my black cars a professional shine has always been a challenge. I have tried many commercially available products with varying degrees of success. So I finally broke down and bought the 3M Perfect-It 3 Step System along with their polishing caps. It's expensive compared to ready-made stuff, but - wow! - what a result! I first watched the product video on You-Tube and then started working on the car following the instructions on the product bottles. The finish on the car (a 1993 Porsche) wasn't bad enough to warrant a sanding step, so I started with a buffing paste with my Chago electropolisher at about 1200rpm and then moved on to the buffing steps. Don't forget to mask off any areas of the car (or your garage) that you won't be working on as this will get pretty messy! The end result was beautiful with a fantastic shine and no streaks. I highly recommend this material.
