Review on Topeak Fuel Charging Cable Medium by Mac Sterling

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good quality but a bit small and expensive.

Topeak fuel tank (1.5 liters?) with charging cable hole Overview Unfortunately, I didn't really like this set of fuel tanks. I used to have Topeak bags for the top of the fuel tank and I remember they were bigger. Pros: Sturdy, sturdy, well built, feels waterproof, and the straps are fairly hefty and buckled. The zipper is also very strong. It also securely attaches to the top tube in the fore and aft position. The narrow design ensures good knee room when pedaling. The volume of 1.5 liters (?) is sufficient to accommodate several basic tools, a multi-tool and/or a spare hose. Suitable for some energy snacks and electrolyte powder water packs etc. Cons: For me the test of any framed bag is if it will hold my lock. In this case, this bag failed. In that case, even my Alcatel 3v smartphone won't hold up. The advertised charging connector is useless. With difficulty I managed to push the end of the connection through a small hole. As mentioned, it will only hold a few small items, but I feel like it's too small for everything else. In my opinion, that's really not a lot of bags for the price. Like I said, I think the old ones were bigger, but that was a few years ago. In general Topeak usually makes high quality products (e.g. a front loader handlebar mount) but like everything these days they are a bit pricey. I think you can find other similar bags with more capacity at lower prices but you may have to sacrifice quality and durability. I'll keep it anyway because it looks good on my bike and will come in handy when you have certain (small) items on hand.

  • Weight 120g
Cons
