When renovating our dining table I was unlucky enough to get financing as it was actually veneer not solid wood. . I thought about covering the splice with wood putty that was painted, but it turned out awful. I bought it to hide a terrible stain. As with other similar reviews, this is a pretty good product, but in the end it's closer to color than anything else. This seemed quite promising since I was mixing colors to match, but in the end I just gave up on matching color and just moved on with a bad stain on a patch of glue. I think this is best for surface scratches. I wouldn't use anything deep given the consistency, but overall a decent product.
