Animal Filter Kit! in the air intake

It's very easy to install. Directions in colour. They're a little vague, but anyone with common sense can figure it out. I have a 2019 Road Glide Special with a 114ci engine. The installation of the air filter kit was spot on and a perfect fit. The only thing to remember is to install 2 long washers on the new backplate before putting the new backplate on the bike. They have internal threads on both sides. One side to connect to the back panel and the other side to hold the filter. On my particular bike/year/model I didn't need the silver 1/4" spacers. At least I think they were 1/4 inch. I could be wrong about the thickness. Now for power and torque. I noticed a big difference in horsepower and torque. This kit woke up my bike! Also, it sounds a bit louder coming out of my Rhinehart 4.5" tailpipe trim. I can't wait to see how much better it performs when I tune its dyno in a few months. Now for the slap on the knee. I'm 6'4 " large and the filter is in line with my calf, not my knee. I didn't notice any difference from the original kit as my caviar ended up in the new filter kit. I never got in at all. Little people shouldn't have any problems at all. Now for what I don't like about this air cleaner kit. This kit does not use hoses to return the oil to the inlet. Its design is that the reflux flows through pre-drilled holes leading through the inlet. This design is great, but if you want to install a drain pan or redirect the oil so it drains into the filter instead of going back into the intake manifold. You can only do this if you really know what you are doing or if you can find a mechanic who can drill new holes that go past the air intake and plug the original holes that go into the intake. There's a guy on YouTube who did this with his Trask air cleaner kit that had the same problem. Either way, if I want my oily burps to go in the catch and not back into the intake, that means I have a job going forward. So if you are planning to install some kind of catcher, unless you are a mechanic or a creative maker, this filter may not be for you. Also, I can't find a sock that fits this air filter kit, or a sock that is specific to this filter kit. I want or hope that KN will have a sock for this particular kit. If you find a good sock please leave it in your review of the brand and where you bought it so the rest of us can get it for this set. Overall, I like the look and the design. If there was a sock and trap design, this would be the best filter out there.
