Review on Air-Stirrup Ankle Support Brace By Aircast: Optimal Support For Ankle Injuries by Dean Pascual

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Critically important while waiting for CIDP diagnosis

While waiting for a final diagnosis of CIDP these are the only thing that allowed my son to somewhat walk. No other brace worked like these did. CIDP affects the nerves. Because of their simplicity of fastening (velcro) my son was able to put them on by himself and was able to wear them all day without any sores or skin rubbing. There are others that are laced but not as sturdy and definitely not as user friendly for a person who is unable to move his fingers. But these are velcro so no issue at all for him.

Pros
  • Can be worn comfortably for extended periods of time
Cons
  • May restrict blood flow to the ankle
