NO PERMANENT REPAIR! The photos are NOT the result of the product. Read on for details.

As the title suggests, this is not a permanent fix. This item was purchased to repair upholstery wear on a 2017 Sonata driver's seat. This wear and tear was caused by the previous owner not being careful enough when getting in and out of the car. Before using the Leather Max Complete Leather Refinish on my seat, I did a test with the leather belt I had. That way I could get the right color and test it for durability. Longevity, that's where the product failed. For reference, the skin was properly cleaned, prepared and dried before application. Now to the question of durability. Dressed leather that has been properly cleaned can be cleaned with plain water and a microfiber cloth. Suspecting that this product is nothing more than acrylic paint, I tried to clean the test area with plain water. The result is a product that is a water-soluble acrylic paint that is wiped off the skin in two passes with a damp microfiber cloth. With this result I filed a complaint. Okay, here is the explanation for the attached photos. Repairs were made with a simple BEESWAX. Yes, beeswax. The process took about 15 minutes to fix 3 wear marks on all 3 stitch lines. What is not shown is the seam before and after on the right side of the photo. The method I used is called "polishing". You simply rub beeswax into the worn area and then buff it. You will find that the color is a perfect match and NO paint or dye was needed. This is because beeswax does the same thing as a factory finish. Beeswax is an all natural clear coat. However, if you have that kind of minor wear on your seat cushions, use beeswax. The repair is now a week old and looks better than the day I first polished the wear and tear. This is because beeswax encourages further polishing, unlike rawhide which continues to wear down. It's also worth noting that a 1 ounce bar of beeswax is WAAAAAAA cheaper than Leather Max Complete Leather Refinish. Plus, this 1 ounce bar lasts forever.
