Great leather repair product

I used this product to repair a 20 year old leather sofa that had a few small scratches and some discoloration due to sun exposure. Before painting the sofa, I added polyester batting to freshen up the cushions. The painting process was easy, the leather feels and looks good thanks to the shine of the protective layer. The owner of Quick Co helped me with color swatches to make my color choice (cream). Value - Save when buying a new sofa! I am grateful that I saw the video on YouTube.

easy to use in upholstery cleaners

I was able to match the stain to the color of the chair and the first results were excellent. The new stain made the chair almost new. Unfortunately, the stain doesn't wear very well. It didn't take long for the newly applied stain to start rubbing off in places. I plan to try again with a new set to make the chair look new again. We used all of the black from the original kit to darken the brown just enough to match the color of our chair. Will likely use some sort of throw on the back of the…

The leather seats look like new. I'm excited!

I used this product on the leather seats on my 2006 Mercedes CLK 350 Convertible. I am thrilled and amazed at how good the seats look. When my daughter saw the results on my car, she bought a kit for her Lexus RX 350 and is thrilled too. It's been about three months since I've used this product and my seats look great. No signs of peeling or other problems. The seats look like new! Tip for users: Make some very small color mixes and test the shade to get an EXACT match on your skin as the color

Costs money! suitable for upholstery cleaner

I am postponing the use of this product for 18 months! I was so afraid I would ruin my sofa. My only regret is that I didn't use it sooner. The sofa looks great! I watched videos on YouTube to get started and make sure I know what I'm doing. My sofa turned out to be darker than I expected, so I gradually added more black to the color. I applied with a terry towel. 2-3 layers are applied to a more damaged area. I suggest starting with a thin layer and then letting it dry. It's easier to keep…

Great product suitable for household needs

Bought this product to upgrade a 3 cushion sofa and a 2 cushion sofa that we have had for years and the paint finish on both is worn and faded. I love the ease of application of this product and the way the furniture looks and feels after application. I went back to the original color so the product would cover a larger area. The product directions state that the key to a product's longevity is how clean the items are before you apply the skin repair product. I cleaned the furniture 2 times…

Not very good for upholstery cleaning

I used this to restore leather seats in an old van. The instructions are there, but poorly written. They point you to a YouTube video, but it's not a great demo video. I thought I would get three different shades but I only found two that were the same and one color that didn't seem related at all. The repair solution is clear and thin. It was difficult to tell if the renovation had been done. I had to dry and apply a few applications but it still wasn't very good. The color is difficult to…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

As the title suggests, this is not a permanent fix. This item was purchased to repair upholstery wear on a 2017 Sonata driver's seat. This wear and tear was caused by the previous owner not being careful enough when getting in and out of the car. Before using the Leather Max Complete Leather Refinish on my seat, I did a test with the leather belt I had. That way I could get the right color and test it for durability. Longevity, that's where the product failed. For reference, the skin was…

My 27 year old furniture looks like it was 15 again.

My leather suite has been passed on in the family for over 20 years. Most of us have cats, a couple have dogs, one has children. So they were used hard. Finding a color match is a time-consuming process of trial and error. I think the key to helping the cat scratch the tufts or "waves" of the surface is to give the whole thing a good sanding with a 240 grit sanding block to get the tops of the ground pieces off. I bought two sets as I wasn't sure what colors I would need for my own paint. As it
