A replacement 1996 Dodge Ram rear ABS sensor mounted on top of the rear axle housing. I also had to rebuild the 4 foot wiring harness that connects to this sensor. You can measure the resistance between this sensor and the ABS module at pins 13 and 14 on the ABS module connector, which is located in the center of this dashboard. The resistance at these contacts should be between 1 kΩ and 2.5 kΩ. Before installation, it is recommended to measure the resistance of the sensor, which should be between 1 and 2.5 kΩ. On a 1996-1997 Dodge Ram and possibly later you can get an ABS light on the dash to give you a blink code that shows the nature of the fault by grounding a pin on the OBDII connector.
