Review on SmartThings 8ZA A806ST πŸ”Œ Q4R: Efficient and Compatible Connected Device by Will Kern

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extremely effective coverage, responsive, consistent

I had to take a Smarthub with my new Samsung and thought what the heck and tried it out. I've tried many other smart devices, so the concept of a hub made sense to me: don't use slow/bugly Wi-Fi and create a Samsung-owned intranet without Bluetooth. I've never been so happy. Some commercial smart lightbulbs cost $50 and use a lot of standby power. it makes no sense. They cost $10 at the time of writing and work fantastic. Pros - NOTE: I'm using Ethernet as a hub since Wi-Fi sucks. The quality of light from dimmable bulbs is amazing for LED, much better than CFLs and incandescent bulbs. Certainly designed for the home, maybe 2500-3500K - very easy to integrate with Google Home and Alexa, I use all 3. I need a color version please!

Pros
  • No Dimmer Required: There is no need to install a dimmer as SmartThings bulbs allow you to instantly dim and dim the light to your liking
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
