I was happy to pay a little more for this smaller turntable because the shelves I have to work with around the Alaskan home have rather narrow storage shelves for all the spices. I know from past experience that spice pinwheels work best; In fact, you can fit more spices into a small space and then easily find them by rotating the table instead of digging around and messing up your order. These little tables are perfect. I added a rubber insert for the shelf to keep the jars from sliding off. If I were down there (under 48) I would use a liner with gum glue to apply it, but up here use whatever you have on hand.
