I researched too many camera options for our trailer that came preinstalled with Furrion mount and cables 😊 and based on several reviews I decided to buy this camera from DoHonest. .The kit included a camera, 7" LCD and various mounting options. DoHonest also offers a range of adapters to attach the camera to the Furrion camera mount found on many trailers. After I received the kit I tested it as recommended and everything worked great so I decided to install it on the trailer.The installation seemed easy enough.I removed the Furrion shark fin mount as it was replaced with an adapter mount from DoHonest but as I tried connecting the camera with the cable Rockwood provided and the connectors didn't fit. I contacted DoHonest and found that the connector on the trailer had been changed and they sent me a new adapter plate and cable. It took me a while few weeks until it was in stock but it arrived last week and i installed it this weekend at camping.haifl eat. Everything fit and worked perfectly until I discovered the camera was sticking out too far from the shark fin mount and getting in the way of the ramp door on the back of the Geo Pro 16TH! It has nothing to do with DoHonest or the camera and adapter. Any other trailer is probably not a problem, but the 16th has the camera mount near the top of the ramp. So I removed the camera and mount and reverted to the original mount, replaced the shark fin mount and put it back together and this time it worked and the ramp door was out of the way. I have photos of the installation with both adapter mounts if you are wondering what the difference is. The second time I installed the camera :) I used some clear silicone around the edges of the rubber piece left over from the Furrion mount and also added some silicone to the screw holes. We used the camera yesterday on the way home from a hike and it worked fine. . I used it to track vehicles passing us (or I passed them) and came in handy when making edits. I also used it when we drove the trailer into our driveway and helped me evaluate the trailer's placement at the edge of our driveway. Overall the package is well made and works as advertised and the customer service from DoHonest has been fantastic!
