This is one of the worst products I have ever bought. My wife bought me the sturdy dash mount that came with this mount for my birthday last May. This part of the dash mount broke almost immediately. Because my wife bought it through a friend's Amazon account so I wouldn't see my birthday present, I didn't try to return it even though it was useless. I used more ingenuity in installing the mount than the manufacturer did in manufacturing it. It took me a year using superglue, two screws and a piece of racquetball bat I made to protect my phone before taking birthday money this year to buy a replacement bracket. It literally broke the first time I put my phone in it. The rubber grips that are meant to hold the phone are very fragile and break easily. I currently have an iPhone 11, but the phone that broke it the first time was an old iPhone SE, about the size of a tiny iPhone 5. I will be returning this mount and will use a secondary mount if I find a suitable one find. permanent ridge attachment of the ball joint. The idea behind this mount is great.
