First of all I just wanted to point out that the color "blue" which is also present in the standard picture looks exactly like the real thing. If you look closely at the top color above the light blue stripe, you can see that it actually looks more purple than blue. They really should be marked purple. I bought this watch for my 8 year old son for Christmas along with a 4g SIM card so he can use it to make phone calls and track the GPS via an app I downloaded onto my phone. The SIM card requires a monthly subscription to your chosen plan for this watch to fully function as intended (plans start at $5 per month). Without a SIM card and subscription, a watch is just a watch. Be sure to follow the instructions on the SIM card carefully. So far this watch is great and can set schedules for school (so your child doesn't get distracted) etc. The watch is a bit tricky to navigate and I haven't found a way to go back to the previous one. without having to return to the main screen. I'm used to adult smartwatches with more navigation flexibility, but they're also much more expensive and complicated, so expectations are higher. It's a kid's watch and easy enough for a kid to use and navigate, something I need to remember when navigating the settings. The call quality is excellent and I can hear my baby perfectly even if he's bouncing during the call. The SIM plan I bought was only $5 per month, which is about 50 minutes of talk time per month, so I need to remind my son to save his minutes for emergencies only. The main reason I bought this watch is because he's getting to the age where he wants to be home alone instead of running errands with me. We don't have a landline and we definitely don't think he's old enough to have a cell phone. He needed a way to contact someone in an emergency if I needed to run a quick errand. Again because it's new he wants to call all of him and I have to remind him not to waste his minutes for a month (I have a plan to avoid excesses so he won't be able to do more to do). Calls pending auto-renewal of plan). Also, the battery lasts about a day, so it's important to charge it overnight. The battery drains even when the screen is off and idle with GPS running in the background (you can turn it off from both the app and the watch). Overall this is a good buy for the price at 4g. I haven't tested the water resistance yet, but if I run into any issues I'll update this review.
