I would think the reviews were written right after buying and putting up and not after 1 month of use when the fabric completely fades. The thickness of the fabric is very thin, which may attribute to the ease of fading. The return policy is only for one month which the fabric probably didn’t even last for that. We thought it was discoloration from pollen. Once pollen season was over and rain washed the pollen away the discoloration remained. Not worth the money. I have bought umbrellas at grocery stores that looked good for at least 2 years. I will only get one with Sunbrella fabric in the future. We have one that has not discolored after 20 years, unfortunately the mechanics of the umbrella have worn out. I would NOT buy this product!***UPDATE 8/24/24The company has since contacted me and assured me they are using a new manufacturer for the fabric. I don’t know how that will hold up compared to this one, but hopefully better. They offered a partial credit for the umbrella which I feel is good business practice. I appreciate the effort they have made to remedy the problem by reaching out and by offering a partial credit. With that I am changing my one star review to 3 stars and would recommend giving them a try.2nd editThis company would only give me a partial credit if I changed my rating to 5 stars. I don’t feel it’s right to give them a rating of 5 stars just because they give me a partial credit and had a bad experience with the quality of the product. If they had replaced the umbrella with a new one that supposedly has a better fabric then I would review the replacement honestly. I do appreciate their correspondence and wonton desire to get good reviews but it has to be followed up by a good product.
