I love to read in bed and needed something to hold my books and Kindle. I used a metal book stand but it was unstable. For a while I was looking for wooden ones, but the price was too high. Stumbled upon this product by accident and decided to give it a try. boy am i lucky It's perfect. The stand is lightweight and large enough to fit a Kindle, hardback, or paperback in the space and hold it securely with pens if needed. Once I pull myself together, anything I read stays where I posted it. Then when my husband goes to bed I can adjust the stand to block out the light and there have been no complaints about not being able to sleep. A real plus. For me this is a necessity. I've had multiple wrist and shoulder surgeries, so holding anything while reading is not an option. It is also not recommended to anyone if read for a period of time. That's why it was very important to me to find a good stand. This one from Art Alternatives is just perfect. Do yourself a favor, you deserve to read comfortably. An added benefit is that it fits into any size cookbook, just in case.
