Review on Wagan EL9903 5A Power Adapter - Efficiently 🔌 Converts 110V AC to 12V DC, UL Listed, Black by Steven Cox

Let me start by saying that I have no doubt that this adapter is a quality product. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because it's not the Igloo Iceless 28 adapter I bought it with. There were no specs for what the cooler would draw (in amps) so I trusted Revain that the cooler and this pair of adapters were compatible and bought them together. Immediately after receiving the order, I found that the cooler draws up to 6 amps at 12 volts, and the power supply is rated for 5 amps and 12 volts. The mismatch is probably why people complain about melted plugs. Overloading a power converter generates a lot of heat. This is the first time Revane has let me down wrong, will pay more attention to that in the future. When I went to return it I found it was non-refundable. Again, shame on me, I'll pay more attention to that in the future. I also found that the Igloo recommended power supply is rated for 5.8 amps, so to be safe I bought a 12v 10 amp Pwr+ wall adapter. It was a few bucks more than this Vagan, but it was worth it. It was also a few bucks less than the recommended Igloo power adapter.
