I use a siphon to fill my boat's gas tank when the boat is out on the water. The boat is in a lake where there is no water gas. I bought this to replace a previous siphon that used a squeeze bulb to start. The lamp broke last winter and when I went to use it the lamp fell apart in my hand and the gas was everywhere. Doesn't suit me, the boat, or the lake. This design is great! No lightbulb that falls apart. It's easy to use. The flow rate through the valve is much faster than my previous system. The presence of a valve as a weight at the inlet also makes it easier to pump out all the gas from the cylinder. The high flow rate of this system allows any job to be done quickly which is good as I have to be in an awkward position to access my boat's gas tank while it is in the water.
